We arrived about 3 hours early to Cleveland Hopkins airport and proceeded to be bored in the worlds most depressing terminal until our puddle jumper arrived. Tyger plays with her Palm. After arriving in the second of our three rooms (314), Tyger is already trying to hax0r the television.

Tyger hax0rs the television. Domo-Kun relaxes after a harrowing flight. Domo-Kun decides to try to hax0r the television.

Tyger holds Domo-Kun as he tries to be all G and stuff. More of the same. We realized that the Days Inn parking lot also hosted parking spots for Dell. How about that.

This is the point where we realize that the toilet in 314 was broken. Tyger tries to hax0r *that* while I stand around and take pictures. Looks like a bad float valve. Proof of two of our three rooms. We were originally in 170... then decided we wanted to be in building 3. We then moved to 314... realized the toilet was broken, and were then moved to 316. My work area. Ready to bust script kiddies and start some trouble. Radios and other gadgets galore and, of course, the cell modem.

All of our crap sprawled across one of the beds. The.. uh... er... "pool" was not, shall we say, fit for a dip? What a disgusting puddle of water. Blech. They weren't kidding on the mailing list.

Tyger and I hax0r the cable to try to get it to work right. Turns out the decoder box was bad. Another view of our room while the nice people outside were stringing cat5 everywhere. Randal Schwartz talks to the group about SmallTalk.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of Space Ghost flying around the screen Rob Rosenberger gives his entertaining and interesting "virus myths" talk. Hoaxes abound!

A still of the very amusing vmyths.com "commercial" he put together. Some of the crap I was selling in the bazaar

Miller Lite and the "Got Root" license plate. People milling about the bazaar and pariticipating in the Windows cookie eating contest

Poor folks trying to shovel in cookies with the Internet Explorer "e" logo on them. A very sexy lass dressing up a girl from the back of a Phreaknic shirt and Pope JohnnyX grinning. The shirt form which said costume came from.

The plothora of shirts for sale at Phreaknic. A rather empty bazaar. An Apple IIe representing and displaying the con schedule.

The piles of free computer crap that put mine to shame. The IE cookies I was talking about before. They were quite tasty, albeit a tad dry. Free, though, so I'm not complaining. Tyger looks at what's going on at the registration desk.

Domo-Kun just can't seem to get into the spirit for the con. A view from my laptop of the packet sniffing fun. Pr0n and Tr0n...

Someone had the bright idea of projecting Tron and Porn onto the side of the hotel. The hallways were really this dark... One of the many talented DJs spinning.

We even had groovy visuals! Yes, the hallways really were this foggy (thanks for 3 or more fog machines on premises). Even the r00twarz room was thick and foggy.

There we go, same pic, no flash. An Osborne CPM machine... voted the oldest working computer at the convention! On the screen (which is in fact running at 80x25) is Zork 1. More DJs tearin' shit up on the ones and twos.

Layin' down some breaks... One gal (Lily) decided to dress up as a Borg using commonly available computer hardware. Neat! Sportin' the Lethargic Records paraphanelia during the con. A little free publicity never hurts.

r00twarz people hacked until the wee hours of the morning. The sign-in/sign-out desk in the r00twarz / DJ room. A panorama of the hardware at the con.

OK. Now it's Sunday. Party's over, time for everyone to get the hell home. Last minute t-shirts sales... JohnnyX runs the wrap-up bitch-out session.

A final group of folks hangs out and chit-chats about what to do next. Tyger finishes a can of Dr. Pepper. The hotel lobby. Mmm... mirrors for laser pointers!

More of the lobby. The hallway leading to the con rooms. We wanted to get this picture the day before, when all of the cat5 was visible and being strung to each room. However, we didn't get the picture, so you'll have to imagine the hundreds of strands of cat5 going here, there and everywhere.

OK. Now we're at the airport. Tyg purchases a Beanie Buddy seal that I proceed to mock "club" all of the way home. Nothing more fun than clubbing seals. Pic for my mom. The airport security complete with rifles. Mmm... guns.

The most tasteful airport atrium I've ever seen. Well, we're almost home... our aerial shot of Cleveland at night sucks. Domo-Kun decided to have some fun in the suitcases on the way home and put on my !/bin/sh shirt from Halibut Stuff. Oh yeah, that's my messy room in the background.
